New Haven Day School offers before and after school child care for Carnegie Elementary students. Children are supervised in a group setting and enjoy free play, fitness games, homework time, and arts and crafts. A snack is served in the afternoon.

Schedule

Hours are from 7:30 to 8:30 in the morning and from 3:30 to 5:30 in the afternoon. Children may enroll for three or five days per week.

Transportation

Transportation via van is available. However, staff members walk the children to and from Carnegie when the weather permits. New Haven Day School makes no supervisory or transportation arrangements for public school extracurricular activities. Please let us know if your child is involved in after-school activities such as Scouts, crossing guard, sports, etc., so staff members will not look for them after school.

School Calendar

The Extended Child Care program follows the Carnegie schedule for holidays with one exception: conference days. Carnegie holds two conference days per year. These conference days are included in your regular tuition and New Haven will be in session on conference days. Your child can spend the entire day at New Haven (7:30 A.M. to 5:30 P.M.).

New Haven does not hold school on Carnegie professional days.

Summer Program

Full-day child care is also available for kindergarten-fifth graders during the summer.
