Fox
Paula has been the Executive Director of New Haven Day School since June 2000. She has 16 years experience in the Early Childhood field, having previously worked as the Nursery Director for New Haven United Methodist Church, a teacher at New Haven Day School, and a teacher at Betty Rowland Nursery School. She also holds a B.S. in Early Childhood Education from Northeastern State University, Tahlequah.
At New Haven Day School, Paula was an Infant teacher for one year, and a Toddler teacher for three years. In addition, she developed the Kindergarten Enrichment Program, which she taught for three years. At the same time, Paula was the Nursery Director for New Haven United Methodist Church. She also worked for Betty Rowland Nursery School, where she developed and taught a newly formed two-year-old class.
Paula is currently on the board of Friends of Early Education and serves as the Treasurer and Fall Conference Chair. Furthermore, she has presented workshops at both the Fall Conference and Fun In the Sun Mini Conference.
In her free time, Paula enjoys traveling with her husband, Ken. The Fox family includes Phillip, his wife Lisa, and their children, Justin, Brandon, and Lexie; Danny, Clint, and Lindsay. Also included in the family are two parakeets, Budgie and Meg, and a cockatiel, Garth.
Paula’s goal for New Haven Day School is to create a safe, warm, and loving environment for children and their parents. She believes that children nurtured in a Christian environment will have many opportunities to develop to their fullest potential in every aspect of growth: spiritual, physical, social, emotional, creative, and cognitive.
Paula sincerely strives to develop a sense of community and works to establish a feeling of welcome to all families of the Day School and Church.
