Over the past twenty plus years I have worked in Early Childhood Education or other related fields of childcare. I received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English from Missouri Southern State College and have attended numerous workshops and seminars. A few of the topics that have been presented include: language develop-ment, discipline that works, and fine motor enhancement. I have also participated in the Governor’s “Safe School Summit” and “Play Safe! Be Safe! a fire safety workshop. During the last couple of school years, I went back to school myself. Besides a class on positive discipline I also studied American Sign Language, which I will share with your child over the next year.
My husband, Rick, is an accountant and self-employed. We have been married almost sixteen years and have two children. Priscilla is fifteen and beginning the Eighth grade
and Thaddaeus who is eight will be in the Second grade.
I spend much of my free time volunteering at the schools of my children. My time at home is usually spent working in the yard, doing various crafts, and during the last year some Scrap booking.
This is my fourth year at New Haven. For two years
I taught downstairs in the Toddler II class and for
two years I have been upstairs with the Three Year
Olds. I look forward to another great year and being
a part of your three year olds’ preschool experience.
