Early childhood classes are available for children aged nine months to two-years-old.

Young Toddlers

A loving, nurturing environment helps children explore and grow during what is usually their first experience away from home. Activities promote:

Language development, through reading, songs, and puppetry
Motor development, through manipulatives and physical play
Social development, through adult interaction and small group activities
Creative expression, through sensory experiences

Children in this class must be 9 months old by September 1. Teacher/pupil ratio is 2 adults to 6 children. Older Toddlers and Twos

A secure, caring environment helps each child enjoy new concepts and experiences. Although children this age mainly engage in parallel play, an opportunity for socialization and group awareness is provided. Activities are appropriate to their rapidly developing physical, language, and cognitive skills, including:

Art and music activities
Fine motor and gross activities
Emphasis on self-help skills, such as washing hands and opening lunches
Outdoor and indoor play
Reading and puppetry
Creative movement games

Teacher/pupil ratio is 2 adults to 10 children.
